Everyone has a happy place they go to to escape reality once in a while. Sometimes, when things get too much for us to handle we step back and find a comforting little place to hide in until the storm passes. I am lucky enough to have had a childhood filled with warmth, love, and good happy memories. I dredge them up from my subconscious and wrap the memories around me like a warm and fuzzy binkie until I feel better. This photo is one of those little treasures that bring back images and feelings of my happy childhood.

Every time I see this picture I remember listening to my nursery rhymes on the walkman (yeah, i remember those, too!). I also remember the times when my brother and I were thick as thieves, playing together, laughing, watching tv. We’ve had our share of squabbles throughout the years but now that we’ve both grown up, we’ve become better friends. It’s so funny because i used to think that he is so different and hard to figure out. Now I realize we have so much in common, even laugh at the same kooky things and have similar opinions about a lot of things.
Anyway, moving on. The layout is based on CSI’s case # 14 and I used a sketch from Frosted Designs and kinda manipulated it a bit to fit the theme. I did quite a bit of fussy cutting on this one, too.
I’m finally finishing up my nephew’s baby album and putting together a kit for embellies that his mom can use on the album. Tomorrow, its TCR, SIT, and FD all rolled into one so stay tuned. Thanks for visiting
